Bielovodská dolina

Starting point:

Valley entry: The trail modrá from the border crossing Lysá Poľana at the Biela voda brook runs through the wood and wide meadows. Next to the Hviezdoslavov waterfall it continues through the Kačacia to Litvorová valley, where the trail continues at Litvorové and Zamrznuté mountain lakes to the Svištová valley end.

Valley length: 10 km

Points of interest:

  • thanks to wide meadows and rocky amphitheatres the valley has an alpine character
  • views to other valleys with beautiful mountain lakes and waterfalls-Svišťová, Kačacia and Ťažká valleys
  • the east part divides into Rovienková valley and Svišťová valley with the Hrubé mountain lake
  • the valley end divides into Litvorová valley and Kačacia valley with Kačacie mountain lake in 1 575 altitude
  • the Zmrznuté mountain lake divides into two directions at the end: through the Prielom saddle to the Veľká Studená valley and through the Poľský Hrebeň saddle to the Velická valley
  • the west part divides into: the Žabia Bielovodská valley , withNižné and Vyšné Bielovodské mountain lakes, the Ťažká valley with the Ťažké mountain lake and waterfall, and the Zmrzlé mountain lake in 1 762 altitude
